Our Client, Pladis Global, got in touch with Inex Works for a quotation to clear the overgrown vegetation at the fence line at McVitie’s Tollcross Plant in Glasgow – where we provide regular grounds maintenance service and have for years. Due to the angle of the banking and the tight space between the vegetation and the fence, we knew the best solution would be our trusty remote mulching slope mower.

Case Study – Hamilton Golf Club Flexi-Stone Installation

Our client, Hamilton Golf Club, contacted us for suggestions on what they could do to give the golfers a great first impression of the course. They decided to go with our Flexi-Stone product as it would not only give the course a great look but would also provide many benefits such as its porosity.

Although there were some initial issues, due to the hotter-than-usual weather, our operatives completed the works to the client’s satisfaction.

Case Study – Cushman & Wakefield Landscape Improvement

Our client, Cushman & Wakefield, had noticed an area under trees at Eastern Industrial Estate in Edinburgh which looked particularly sparse.

Case Study – Bonnybridge Specialty Land Clearance

The Client: Sitka Tree Services

The Problem: Overgrown land parcel to be developed

The Solution: Inex Works’ Remote-controlled Mulching Mower

 

Our client, Sitka Tree Services, approached Inex Works to request some assistance with a 550-square-metre parcel of land which had had been left derelict. Now that the property owners wanted to develop the plot, it needed a quick and efficient solution.

The tract was overgrown with birch, broom, willow and a jungle of bramble; all of which – using traditional methods of clearance – would have been costly in both time and manpower.

Stepping up to the challenge (or should we say rolling up) is Inex Works’ Deltrak remote-controlled mulching mower. This innovative equipment reduced all of the problematic plants to mulch leaving the site development-ready. And, with the machinery’s low PSI of just two, it leaves no impact even on boggy ground.

What’s even more amazing is that the works were completed from arrival to the site to the point of rolling out in just over three hours.

“This site laid unused for a very long time, and the uncontrolled plant growth gave it the appearance of dereliction. Now that the tract is going to be developed, we needed an effective solution in a timely fashion,” said Sitka Managing Director Nick Coleman. “Inex Works’ mulching mower provided the perfect resolution. The operatives were on site for less than half-a-day, and the difference in those few short hours is remarkable!”

Case Study – Forestry Commission Scotland Litter Picking and Flytipping Removal

The Brief: Removal of fly-tipping and litter from four Central Belt locations totaling 5.4 hectares

Completed Works: Comprehensive clearance and removal of over 60 tonnes of rubbish and waste

Recently, Inex Works worked with the Forestry Commission Scotland to remove litter and remove fly-tipping from four of their sites in the central belt. As the photos below show, the operatives had their work cut out for them. By the time the job was finished, they had removed the equivalent of over 250 wheelie bins worth of rubbish!

We maintain this standard as we are hopeful the cleaner it is left, the less likely to be used as readily for litter and waste.

Case Study – Natural Fruit & Beverage Co.

Natural Fruit & Beverage Co. (NFBC), located in Coatbridge, is the UK’s leading packer of food products into re-sealable pouches. Having been established in such a way and now working with some of the world’s biggest brands, the management team identified many areas in which the site did not aptly represent their business growth and rising profile.

It was at this point which Inex Works began its relationship with NFBC. There were a few areas of immediate need including fencing replacement which was completed as a priority to ensure a more secure site. Additionally, as NFBC lease a portion of their site to a haulage firm, keeping the wheels of commerce moving was both a need for their own products and also those of its tenants. With that in mind, NFBC contracted Inex to provide winter maintenance over the 2015/16 season using our bespoke mix of eco-friendly de-icing liquid and road salt via our light-weight combi-spreaders.

NFBC also had a few potholes which required attention and Inex was able to repair the damaged tarmac areas once a stretch of dry weather allowed. Moving into spring and pleased with the work completed to date, NFBC awarded Inex their grounds maintenance contract. This included a one-time “blitz” to get the site maintenance-ready. Regular fortnightly maintenance continues to allow the NFBC site to flourish and serve as a much better representation of the thriving business they operate.

“We are the landlords for our Coatbridge site and amongst other things, are responsible for grounds maintenance. After many years of using another grounds maintenance contractor, I was persuaded to use Inex. We had been using them for winter gritting and the service and costs were good.

Inex reviewed the requirements with me and recommended a programme of works which commenced with an initial intense site tidy up, followed by routine grounds maintenance, predominantly grass cutting.

Due to open spaces on their commercial sites, the Savills team was finding that people were parking within unauthorised areas, causing damage to walkways and furthermore, leading to problems with pedestrian access.

After initial suggestions of large metal planters was deemed too expensive, Inex Works was set the challenge of offering a cost-effective solution for the company’s parking problems. Following a thorough assessment of the sites, making allowance for access and provision for sufficient parking spaces, Inex provided painted manhole drainage rings, planted onsite, offering a practical, simple and attractive solution which was also cost effective.
