Our client, a prominent property management company, contacted us after the heavy snowfall at the start of March, as they required snow to be removed from the canopy at a busy retail park in the Central Belt. The volume of snow was too heavy for the glass, causing it to crack. In the meantime, the client cordoned the area off to keep the public safe.
Inex attended site the same day. Working from a cherry picker, snow was carefully removed from the canopies and moved to a safe location on site in case there was any glass in it. All glass was removed from the canopy frame and placed into a skip for disposal.
After three days of work, the damaged canopy was completed cleared, and the area was given a final brush-up to remove any small pieces of glass left behind. The safe working zone restrictions were then removed, and the area was re-opened to the public.
