Our client, BNP Paribas, contacted us with a health and safety issue which they needed an efficient solution for.
The coping stones on the 8-9-metre-high perimeter wall were becoming loose due to the tree and shrub roots growing up through the wall and pushing the coping stones posing a risk of them falling off.
Inex provided a quotation to repair the coping stones in the safest way for the public, and themselves.
Once instructed, our operatives cut back the vegetation at the bottom of the wall to ensure scaffolding could be placed as close to the wall as possible.
Approximately 80 metres of copes were removed from the top of the wall, cleaned down and set aside for re-use. Operatives broke the old bedding of mortar off and new cement was imported. Copes were re-laid to an even level and allowed to set. Pointing works were also carried out to the brickwork to ensure all bricks were held in place.
