It’s set to be a Battle Royale and the boxing ring is the UK!
In one corner you’ve got the cool character that is the jet stream over the Atlantic. In the other, the passionate Latino Spanish Plume! What can we expect? Scorching temperatures, torrential rain, lightning, thunder, even, perhaps, the odd tornado!
Yes, that’s right folks. This weekend a jet stream of hot air called a Spanish plume will rise toward the UK where it will meet the cooler air pushing down from the Atlantic with the battle likely rage over Southern Scotland/northern England.
It’s forecast that all of the UK will see temperatures over 20°on Saturday morning with our neighbours in the south possibly reaching 30° when the Spanish plume makes his entrance toward the ring. Meanwhile the reigning champion of Scotland, the cooler air of the Atlantic jet stream, will be ready and waiting. When they begin to clash – predicted to begin Saturday night – what a show it could be and parts of Scotland are set for ringside seats!
So, ladies and gentlemen, sit back bask in the warmth (and the Florida-like humidity) and enjoy the main event!
